๐ Citroen C4 Crankshaft Sensor Fault
Citroen C4 l 2004 front left ABS wheel speed sensor fault. Hi, ABS and ESP lights up on the dashboard. Im getting a reading on Kph when driving on three sensors, except for the front left one. The left front wheel speed sensor has been replaced plus the ESP module and pump, and the brake-light switch (7800) (See schematic)
The auto elec is stumped. The only code is: ECU mute - 000. No codes beginning with p and no codes for abs fault!! I'd guess he's using a generic OBD reader - Lexia or Diagbox is needed to read the PSA specific codes. The nearest I can guess is "U1000 - The engine ECU does not communicate any longer on the system." Note - it is a guess. Hi
Disable the fuel system, by removing the fuel pump fuse or relay. Insert a spark plug tester, into the plug boot and ground it on a piece of metal on the engine. Finally, have someone crank the engine and watch for spark. Remove one of the coils from the spark plug. Use an extra spark plug.

Reiterate: Automatic handbrake faulty with ESP /ASR and ABS faults showing, replacing the brake switch has not worked, bought a lexia system which (after a lot of hassle setting up!) diagnoses "C1320: front LH wheel speed sensor fault".
Location: Finland. Citroen C4 2012 1.6 e-hdi. Stop/Start deactivated. I have the following fault codes that came up after the alternator belt snapped; P1A9C Energy accumulator: state of health fault. P1AA2 Voltage retaining device: internal electronics fault. P0272 Correction of injector flow rate cylinder 4 :Injection time too long or too short.
Check Engine Speed Sensor (G28). Read Measuring Value Blocks (MVB). Special Notes: The Engine Speed Sensor (G28) is also used as a reference sensor for the crankshaft position. Check the wiring to/from the sensor and engine control module to rule out harness and module damage due to engine oil or coolant from a failed sensor or tensioner.
Location: Hoylake. Yes, a micro switch on the brake is a very likely culprit, though also check one on the clutch. If the beep and the appearance of SERVICE co-incide with using the control switches on the steering wheel, try cleaning the switch with a small squirt of switch cleaner, then rock the switches up and down for several seconds and
My Citroen drives for a while and then cuts out completely to a stand still and wait 5 min starts and drives again. The fault codes that comes up is P0088 (Fuel Rail/System pressure to high) ,P0193 (Fuel Rail pressure sensor circuit to high) and P1351(Manufacturer specific code),
The PCM uses the "B" Camshaft Position Sensor to tell it when the Crankshaft Sensor signal is correct, when a given Crankshaft Position Sensor signal is timed to Cylinder #1 for timing, and it is also used for fuel injector synchronization / start of injection. Codes P0365 or P0366 may also be present at the same time as the P0368.
Re: C4 Parking System Fault. by GiveMeABreak ยป Thu Apr 28, 2022 3:00 pm. That isn't going to help! The parking assistance ECU does a self-check each time the vehicle is started. By disconnecting the sensors you have basically created more faults. Try my touch test as you have referred to, but otherwise you need a decent diagnostic system like
If your engine has only one CMP, such as an inline-four-cylinder, the only CMP code available is for Bank 1, P0341. On the other hand, V6 or V8 engines have two banks, Bank 1 and Bank 2, and would therefore have two CMPs, so DTC P0346 would refer to Bank 2. Sensor A indicates that the malfunction is occurring with the camshaft position sensor

P000B means that the ECM has detected a fault with the position and timing of the camshaft due to a loose fuel cap, or low oil pressure.
I bought a new sensor and seals. I got these from a Pug dealer, as they list the HP fuel sensor at ยฃ10 less than Citroen. Replacing the sensor was a Saturday morning job - most of the time was spent stripping stuff down on the right hand side of the engine bay to get at it (air handler, battery tray etc).
This problem alone will cause the engine to stall. 5. Remove the Sensor Mount Bolt. SPONSORED LINKS. Most crankshaft sensors will have just one mount bolt which will typically be a 10mm bolt. Use a small wrench or socket to remove the bolt by turning it counterclockwise and place to the side for safe keeping.
OBD2 Code P0336 Citroen definition: The crankshaft position sensor (CKP) is usually a two wire sensor: a signal and a ground. The CKP sensor consists of (usually) a permanent magnent sensor that is mounted in front of a reluctor (toothed) wheel mounted to the crankshaft. As the reluctor wheel passes in front of the crank sensor, an A/C signal
